Inkundla Community Interest Company (Inkundla) hosted a conference to address Leadership in Matabeleland. The goal of the inaugural Leadership Indaba was to deliver Leadership strategies that the people of Matabeleland can use to improve the quality of life in the community. It was an outstanding opportunity for presentation and discussion of issues in the main areas of: education, arts & culture, business, sport, religion, health, politics and family. The First Leadership Indaba planning committee was proud to have educators, traditional practitioners, health personnel, researchers, politicians, policy makers and many others from Matabeleland having been confirmed for oral speeches, interactive workshops and presentations.

The feedback we are getting from all those that were present is that the conference was very productive and inspiring. Inkundla CiC is grateful for the spirit of dedicated dialogue and friendship that prevailed at the gathering. The organising committee thanks all who participated and who continue to support our community as whole.

We now turn our attention to the Investment and Development Indaba 2010 which will be hosted by Inkundla CiC sometime in July at a venue to be announced.

In the meantime we are in the process of compiling a report on the Leadership Indaba and the resolutions that were reached.
